Kayla originally began her journey with Divination Arts as a client of Kristi’s in 2020. It was through watching an experienced and successful woman in the industry that Kayla’s passion for the art of tattoo was reignited. It had always been a childhood dream of hers, but she never thought it feasible until that moment.

Her apprenticeship began in 2022. Early on she discovered a love for color— whether it be muted tones or bright, expansive color palettes, she admired it all. To this day color remains one of her favorite things to tattoo, although she certainly doesn’t shy away from black and gray work. 

Initially, Kayla was trained in American Traditional, and to this day it is a style she enjoys! Since then, she’s come to learn a multitude of styles. Her favorite is neotraditional- different line weights, smooth gradients, and beautiful colors.

It is the natural world that Kayla draws much of her inspiration from. Anything from elegant florals to creepy skulls, adorable animals and weird creatures!

Outside of art and tattooing, Kayla enjoys fishkeeping (ask her about her eels!), hiking, foraging, and gaming.
